La Lanterna is an intimate Sardinian restaurant, hidden away in the old quarter of St Peter Port next to the new market, serving authentic rustic specialities.

The proprietor is Ivan Pellegrini. Ivan is a native Sardinian and his friendly staff echo the Sardinian spirit: generous, spontaneous, family centred and thoroughly Mediterranean.

The menu is extensive and includes nice stone-baked pizzas, pasta, risotto, fish and meat dishes cooked in the Sardinian style. The wine list is dominated by wine from the region and represents exceedingly good value for money.

This is a restaurant to savour, as are the flavours that come from the food.

Sorry but I don’t follow the market, I produce food that I like, food from my culture. It is what it is, excellent food at affordable prices.
